Update (22/7/21):
A combination of rising Covid numbers and restrictions on numbers allowed in the Town Hall by Cheshire East, means that pushing ahead with the event at this time will merely risk both people’s health and the sponsorship funding that is already in place to allow the event to run. Taking this decision now means that they can protect the event so that it can go ahead in the future – they are planning for Spring 2022. They are awaiting confirmation from Cheshire East as to when the event can run and will advise us of the new date ASAP.
Many of you may already be aware of, or have had involvement with the East Cheshire Hospice (https://www.eastcheshirehospice.org.uk) and the tremendous work they do for our community.
The East Cheshire Hospice needs to raise its finances (they have to raise 75% of their funding through donations) through charity and events, and one of the important events on their calendar is the Cheshire Art Fair https://www.theartfair.org.uk/ which is taking place in September 2021.
They have been exhibiting and selling art to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice since 1999. This biennial event has apparently grown to be the largest volunteer run art fair in the country with over 80 artists and crafts people exhibiting at each show; including a good showing from Bollington and its artistic community .
In September 2021 the Cheshire Art Fair will be returning to the Macclesfield Town Hall for a two week long exhibition, and Adelphi Group in Healthcare (of which Mr Stuart Cooper is an Ambassador of this Charity), based in the Adelphi Mill on the 4th and 5th floors, are giving their support to this special local event.
They would however like to increase the interest to include as many as possible of the businesses in Adelphi Mill and Clarence Mill (and also the Bollington community) in order to support this very special event.
Art Graphics have regularly been involved in this event by helping set up and stage the hanging of the fantastic pictures and paintings on show, giving their time freely for this important cause.
If you would like to get involved by either contribution of staff i.e. volunteering, raising awareness across colleagues and the wider community, or providing a small financial contribution, please can you please contact Michelle Foden at the Adelphi Group – 01625 577266, E-Mail : Michelle.Foden@adelphigroup.com
It would great to see our community give the Hospice the support they greatly deserve.
